🎓 Learn
Imagine handing your children a book filled with life’s greatest lessons.
A treasury of wisdom to guide them through every twist and turn.
That’s why I started collecting impactful advice for living — from books, podcasts, and my favorite email newsletters.
Bite-sized nuggets of wisdom. Quotes that stick. Insights that inspire action.
Each year, I revisit this list—not just for inspiration but for clarity in decision-making.
Some of these are my own. Others are timeless truths, passed down and simplified.
Here’s one that changed how I live: “Peaceful growth isn’t about running faster. It’s about walking steadier.”
My goal? To offer my kids—and myself—a roadmap for a meaningful life.
1: Pain and suffering bring you closer to the truth. In moments of deep pain, we often uncover life's most profound truths and rediscover what truly matters.
2: Shameful pleasures fade fast, but the shame lingers. Hard efforts fade fast, but the good endures. This is why some feel empty in luxury while others find joy in the grind. Choose the path that leaves you proud.
3: Time fades the pain, but the lessons of intense experiences leave lasting imprints. Wear your scars—they’re proof of growth.
4: Fear is excitement without breath. Fear and excitement share the same physiological response—the difference lies in how we breathe. Facing fear with breath transforms it into excitement and opens the door to growth.
5: After a certain point, money is just a story. Once your basic needs are covered, wealth stops being about survival and starts being the narrative you choose to write about your life.
6: Everything has two prices: the List Price (what it costs on the surface) and the Real Price (what you give up to get it). Before chasing a goal, ask yourself—are you willing to pay the hidden cost in time, health, or relationships?
7: Envy is hyperlocal—it hits hardest when aimed at those closest to us. Shift your perspective. Be the bronze medalist, not the silver—grateful for how far you’ve come instead of obsessing over what’s next. Gratitude is the antidote to envy.
8: The secret to a happy relationship? Two people who are happy on their own but even better together.
9: When you hear bad news, give it 48 hours before reacting. People often change their minds—don’t burn bridges in the heat of the moment. Patience saves relationships.
10: Before giving advice, ask, “Do you want to be heard, helped, or hugged?” Most times, people just want to be heard or hugged.
11: Learn consistently. Execute in sprints with laser focus. That’s the formula for compounding results.
12: Easy choices, hard life. Hard choices, easy life. Take the tough path today—it leads to easier tomorrows.
13: Modern business runs on two skills: storytelling and spreadsheets. Master the art of emotion and logic—together, they’re the ultimate power duo for influence.
14: Shoes that don’t fit are not a bargain at any price.
15: Starting something new requires intensity. Staying with it for the long haul demands consistency. Master both, and you’ll build something unstoppable.
16: Don’t hide behind the BIG shiny goals. Focus on simple, small and consistent improvements.
17: Remember that just because other people agree or disagree with you doesn’t make you right or wrong—the only thing that matters is the correctness of your analysis and judgment.
18: You can do anything but you CAN’T do everything.
19: Glass Door Opportunity: you can see exactly what's there, it aligns with your current roadmap, and the payoff is tangible.Wooden Door Opportunity: where you can't see what's on the other side until you put in the effort to knock and go through. Sometimes, it’s good to go for wooden door opportunities.
20: Many people are so worried about looking good they never do anything great. Many people are so worried about doing great that they never do anything at all.
21: Something obvious to you might be AWESOME to someone else.
22: The riskiest moment is when you think you are right. Stay humble—confidence unchecked leads to blind spots.
23: It’s always my fault. Take full ownership—it’s the fastest way to grow.
24: Be grateful for the progress that has been made and simultaneously dissatisfied with the rate of progress.
25: The more secrets you have, the more unhappy you are going to be. If you can’t share it with a friend, spouse, or parent, it’s probably not worth doing.
26: The true measure of success: How much of your day is spent on things you want to do versus things you have to do?
27: There are three types of decisions. Hats: immediately change if you don’t like it. Haircuts: more impact but not permanent. Tattoos: hard to reverse.
28: The top regret Bronnie Ware heard from thousands on their deathbeds? “I wish I’d had the COURAGE to live a life true to myself, not the one others expected of me.” Don’t wait for some time. Start choosing your path today.
29: When you borrow a man’s car, you always return it with a full tank of gas — Charlie Munger
30: Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth. Approach the world with curiosity and skepticism—seek your own truth.
31: Never fool yourself, and remember that you are the easiest person to fool — Charlie Munger
32: Remember that reputation and integrity are your most valuable assets—and can be lost in a heartbeat.
33: People want certainty, not accuracy. Communicate with clarity, even in uncertainty.
34: Your mind is a slick negotiator. It’ll trade long-term growth for short-term comfort every chance it gets. Don’t fall for it. Play the long game—it’s where the real rewards live.
35: You can be happier anytime, but you would NEVER be happier than someone else.
36: It’s better to be roughly right than precisely wrong — Charlie Munger
37: We all have an internal thermostat—a built-in ceiling for how much success, love, or happiness we let ourselves enjoy. The moment we rise above it, self-sabotage pulls us back down. The real growth? Learn to raise the thermostat.
38: There are two types of ego:
The ego that inflates you by making others feel smaller.
The ego that refuses to let anyone make you feel smaller.
Keep the second—it’s your shield. Drop the first—it’s your anchor.
