We often underestimate the potential of 10 minutes.
These 10 minutes of learning and growing throughout the day accumulate massive success and results that many of us are not yet aware of.
Much of my personal growth happens in these 10-minute pockets.
Here is a list of 20 productive things I do (and you can do) in 10 minutes or less to build a high—performing lifestyle.
1. Read a Book: An average reader can read 6 pages in 10 minutes. In a year, you will have read 5 to 10 books.
2. Listen to an Audio Book: You will read 10 pages at 1.25x speed in 10 minutes, which will help you read 15+ books in a year.
3. Listen to a Podcast: That will be 60 hours of learning from a podcast in a year. [Here is a list of my favorite Podcast]
4. Learn from YouTube Videos: Productivity experts like Ali Abdaal's videos are 8-14 minutes in length. You can watch and learn from over 400 videos in a year for 10 minutes daily.
5. Learn a New Skill from Mindvalley: Mindvalley is an MIT of personal growth with 100+ topics. Average courses are 10-20 hours, and average videos are 5-15 minutes long. You can learn 3-5 new skills on this platform in a year with 10 minutes daily.
6. Do Meditation: Popular meditation apps like Calm and Headspace offer 5-10 minute meditations. It will be 60 hours of meditation in a year. [Here is a list of my favorite meditations]
7. Read 3-4 Email Newsletters or Blogs: My this newsletter, Learn + Grow, takes 3-5 minutes to read. You can read 1000+ pieces of content on personal growth each year.
8. Do Yoga: Just 10 minutes of yoga daily will be the cheapest health insurance you can give yourself. [Here is a list of my favorite yoga]
9. Watch a Short, Inspiring TED Talk: Average TED talk videos are 15-18 minutes long. You will be able to learn from 300 TED talks in a year. [Here is a list of my favorite TED talks]
10. Write 1 Thing You Are Grateful for About Your Spouse: You will have a gratitude book to gift to your loved one on their birthday or Valentine's Day. [I used this website to create my gratitude book for my wife]
11. Do 20 Pushups: Doing 20 pushups daily is a convenient exercise that engages multiple muscle groups and promotes overall strength, including abdominal, hip, and leg muscles. It will be 7,000+ pushups in a year.
12. Send a Thank You Note to a Friend, Colleague, or Relative: In 10 minutes, you can make someone feel appreciated and will improve your relationship with your dear one 10x.
13. Empty the Dishwasher + Listen to a Podcast: It takes less than 10 minutes to empty the dishwasher, and if you listen to a podcast/audiobook, that will be 2x win.
14. Write 1 Story/Joke/Parable in Your Notebook: Storytelling is the most effective way to communicate. You will have 300+ stories that you can share in social or business networking events. [Learn more about storytelling]
15. Learn a New Language in Duolingo: Mobile apps like Duolingo offer daily 5-10-minute learning quests. That’s 365 lessons in a year, good enough to make you comfortable with any new languages. [Duolingo is free]
16. Think 3 Topics You Can Write: Consider what you've learned in the last two years. Favorites like books, blogs, newsletters, apps, podcasts, TV shows, and purchases are great topics to write about. You'll have over 1000 ideas to write in a year.
17. Write 3 Highlights of Your Day: Writing down daily wins and highlights can improve happiness and mental health. By the year's end, you'll have a journal of over 900 things you're grateful for.
18. Write 100-200 Words: An average person can write 150-250 words in 10 mins. From #16, you've got a few topics to write about. Even if you don't consider yourself creative or an expert writer, writing ~100 words in 10 minutes is doable. You'll accumulate many pieces of writing in a year.
19. Plan Tomorrow's Tasks in Your Calendar: It only takes 10 minutes to plan your day. Putting tasks and details in your calendar sets the intention and gives clarity, which will improve your success rate by 80%.
20. Learn Two New Words in Any Language: Improve your vocabulary in any language. You'll learn over 700 new words in a year.

Also, I’m not encouraging you to be productive all the time. If you want to chill and relax, go for it. My effort here is to help you understand what is possible in 10 minutes, and we should plan to learn and grow in minutes, not in hours or days.
There are 1,440 minutes in a day.
You will be surprised how much you can do in months and years by simply using these few minutes here and there in your daily routine.
Plan in Minutes. Measure in Years.
